How Start a Book Study Group
Hosting or joining a book study group is a great opportunity to learn the teachings and to experience community. Meeting regularly with those who share a common interest is fulfilling. And it provides an opportunity to learn from one another’s experiences on the path and to share yours too!
Anyone can do a book study group!
Independent Book Study
- Choose a book with free discussion guides. Print out the materials and handouts, which are designed to be thought provoking and to spark conversation. Go through them alone. Talk about them with family. Invite friends.
- Use other Summit University Press books. You can read the book together and comment as you read. This can be done without discussion guides.
- Advertise meetings and make new friends. Start your own book club. Meet in a coffee shop, bookstore, library, living room, or anywhere you want. Be creative!
